Situation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

The Russian occupation command reinforces the grouping force in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and continues provocative military measures near the administrative border.
It was established that battalion task group of the 31st separate assault airborne brigade (Ulianovsk) of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, that on April 4, 2016, was air dropped near the settlement of Dzhankoi, according to the operational intent of the military exercises, practiced the capturing of strategic targets of Ukraine located in Kherson oblast.
Before the arriving of this unit, two battalion task groups have been already deployed in the area of Dzhankoi: one group of the 98th airborne division (Ivanovo) and other group of the 7th assault airborne division (Novorosiisk) of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
