The adversary shelled 61 times from small arms, grenade launchers, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. The attacks were, as follows: 7 attacks – Stanytsia Luhanska (Novoaidarsk direction), 13 attacks – Novozvanivka, Luhanske, Zaitseve, Novhrodske (Sloviansk direction); 29 attacks – Khimik, Avdiivka, Opytne, Butovka mine, Mariinka, Krasnohorivka (Donetsk direction); 3 attacks – Novotroitske, Hranitne (Volnovakha direction); 9 attacks – Talakivka, Vodiane, Shyrokyne (Mariupol direction).

The enemy’s actions in other directions were focused on rotation of the first echelon units, engineer installed equipment of forward edge and replenishment of ammunition, as follows:

rotation of the advanced units of the 2nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk) of the 2nd AC (Luhansk) of the Russian Armed Forces was conducted;

advanced positions of the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade (Debaltseve) of the 2nd AC were enhanced with mortar battery. In order to replenish ammunition of the 2nd AC, four trucks with ammunitions arrived to Debaltsevo from Corps’ depots;

sniper unit of the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment (Stakhanov) of the 2nd AC mined a sector of the terrain in the area of “Pervomaiska” mine (near the settlement of Zolote).

The enemy equipped a new platoon strongpoint of the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Horlivka) of the 1st AC (Donetsk) of the Russian Armed Forces near secondary school №15 (15, Baksheieva Street) in the area of Zaitseve, in order to provoke the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to launch a return fire and further accusation of the Ukrainian side in intentional shelling of educational institutions.

New facts of supplies of ammunition and POL for the needs of the 1st AC (Donetsk) and 2nd AC (Luhansk) of the Russian Armed Forces were observed. On April 3, 2016, two echelons (18 tank waggons) with POL (720 tons) and eight cargo trucks with ammunition arrived to Krasnodon. The next day four cisterns with POL burnt as a result of fuel inflammation in one of the echelons and spreading of fire on neighboring wagons with coal. As a result of this, conducting of field firing exercise and driving of combat vehicles of the 2nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk) of the 2nd AC, for the needs of which a part of delivered fuel was assigned, were adjourned.

The Ukrainian side informed the representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine about the presence of SAU (SP artillery systems) and artillery systems with more than 100-mm caliber in the areas of Zuhres and Khartsyzk.

Other losses of the personnel of the reconnaissance units of the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of Marines Corps (Novoazovsk) of the 1st AC of the Russian Armed Forces were established. On April 3, 2016, one marine was killed and three marines were wounded during the raid of SRG in the area of Shyrokyne.
