On the 24th-25th of June, 2011 the Business forum «Ukraine-Serbia 2011» took place at Kopaonik (the Republic of Serbia). It was organized by the «MK Group» company (Serbia), the Reform Club (Ukraine), the «Businessman» Club (Serbia) and supported by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of the Republic of Serbia, the Embassy of Ukraine in Serbia and the Office of Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
The Forum's goal was to create appropriate conditions for enlarging and strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, establishing new business contacts, learning the investment climate of Ukraine and Serbia, exchanging experience of economic and business reforms in both states.
During the first day of the Forum the economic situation, investment climate, Serbian and Ukrainian experience of internal reforms were introduced to the participants. They also exchanged their experience of doing business in both Ukraine and Serbia. The second day of the Forum was devoted to the bilateral negotiations between the businessmen of both states.
Among the participants of the Forum were Vice Premier-Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Social Policy of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Serbia Viktor Nedopas, Minister for Economy and Regional Development of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Ciric, Head of political coalition «United Regions of Serbia» Mladjan Dinkic, top executives of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the leading companies of both states.
