On 24th of May, 2012 the official academy on the occasion of Days of Slavic literacy took place in Ruma. Ambassador of Ukraine in Serbia V.Nedopas was a honorary guest of the event. The representatives of the diplomatic missions of Belarus, Russia, Macedonia, priests of Serbian Orthodox Church, local administration of Ruma region, students and children also took part in the celebrations.

On the initiative of Ukrainian Embassy the event was dedicated to Ukrainian culture – program of the official academy included Ukrainian national songs, dances, extracts of opera «Zaporozec behind the Danube» which were presented by Belgrade choir «Luchinusjka», solists of Serbian National Theatre B.Cvijic and M.Cvijic, dance group of cultural community «Kolomejka» from Sremska Mitrovica.
