On the 27th of September, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Serbia V.Nedopas took part in the “Danube Strategy Implementation and Financing High-Level Meeting” in Belgrade. This event was organized by the European Commission and the Government of Serbia within the process of elaboration of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). The aim of the Meeting was to discuss possible funding mechanisms for the implementation of the Strategy.

EU Commissioner for Regional Policy J.Hahn, Prime Minister of Serbia M.Cvetkovic, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Serbia B.Djelic, President of the European Investment Bank P.Maystadt, directors of DG Enlargement, DG Regional Policy and DG AIDCO, high rank representatives of the European financial institutions as well as National Contact Points for the EUSDR from 14 Danube states have participated in the event.

The participants presented their views on financial mechanisms of the future Danube Strategy, possibilities of financial institutions and partner-states in this regards and projects realization processes in the Danube region.
