On 25-26th of November, 2010 the delegation of Ukraine headed by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine V.Piatnycky took part in the Third session of the Ukraine-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Belgrade. The current situation and perspectives of development of bilateral relations, opportunities for Serbian and Ukrainian businessmen for entering the markets of both states, negotiation process between Ukraine and Serbia about Serbia’s entering the World Trade Organization and the perspectives of starting negotiations about Free Trade Agreement between two states were discussed.

On the 26th of November, 2010, in the building of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine V.Piatnycky held a meeting with the representatives of Serbian companies interested in entering Ukrainian market.

The same day the official ceremony of signing the Protocol of the Third session of the Ukraine-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation took place in Belgrade. From Ukrainian side the document was signed by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine V.Piatnycky, from Serbian side – by Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry of the Republic of Serbia S.Dragin. Before the ceremony, the heads of delegations have held a press conference where they expressed their confidence that the Ukraine-Serbia trade relations will get a new impetus for development.
