On 16th of June, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Serbia Victor Nedopas and the delegation from Lviv City Council met with the Head of the Parliament of Novi Sad A.Jovanovic and Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad V.Kopico. During the meeting cooperation between Lviv and Novi Sad, in particular the opportunities for cooperation in cultural, educational, economic, transport and humanitarian spheres were discussed. Ukrainian side informed about is willingness to construct the monument of T.Shevchenko and to send its architector to Novi Sad in order to establish this monument in the city and asked Serbian side to accelerate the procedure of allocating land for the monument erection.

Lviv delegation also invited the Head of the parliament and the Mayor of Novi Sad to visit Lviv on the 24th of August this year to take part in the celebration of Independence Day in Ukraine.
