On 24 January 2015, as a result of the massed Grad and Uragan rockets attacks on residential areas in Mariupol, at least 30 civilians were killed and 95 wounded, among them innocent children.
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine conducted a crater analysis and concluded that the Grad and Uragan rockets originated from north-easterly and easterly directions, the areas controlled by the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”.
Due to the tragic deaths of civilians at the hands of terrorists, 25 January 2015 is proclaimed the Day of Mourning in Ukraine.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Serbia has opened a Book of Condolences.
